American Idol of 2030

When I sing the ABC song to Sofie, she waits for me to sing "Next time won't you sing with me" and then she begins her own version of the song. She is quite the singer. She sings in her crib before she falls asleep. She sings in her crib after she wakes up. She sings while she is playing with toys. She sings in the bath tub. She sings while she is eating. She even sings when a song request is made.

Playing in a Box

For her birthday in March, Sofie received a Radio Flyer Wagon. I cut windows in the box it came in and made a house for her to crawl through. She had no interest in it. I even crawled through it to show her how much fun it would be. No. Not interested. She just watched me squeeeeeeeeze through trying not to get stuck.

Today, I put it out for her to try again and now she loves playing in it!! She crawls through it. We play Peek a Boo through the windows. And she brings her toys inside to play. Ahhh...simple pleasures.

Sofia took her first steps one month ago and you should see her now! Here are two short videos showing how she has almost mastered walking. She walks about 90% of the time and crawls just a little. She still falls here and there, but it doesn't stop her from going, going going!!
